Bloomberg reports
The report says that the ECB aren't quite ready to rush into any additional monetary stimulus at this month's meeting, preferring instead to wait for mode data on the economy, citing officials familiar with the matter.

Adding that the governing council is leaning towards acting during the following meeting in September when they'll have updated economic forecasts to back up their decision. Although, the report says that policymakers might tweak its language this month to signal that more stimulus is imminent.

Il TINA è un costrutto troppo artificiale e pericoloso nel medio periodo.
il mercato riversa una fiducia incondizionata sulle banche centrali senza porsi il dubbio sulle reali capacità di reagire agli shock dell'economia.
In un contesto di tassi di riferimento storicamente troppo bassi(negativi per i più), alto debito, perdita di momentum dell'economia globale, guerra commerciale e deglobalizzazione, oil in risalita per taglio produzione e tensioni geopolitiche.. e solo questione di "quando" non "se" l'ottimismo collasserà.
Poi chiaro nel tool delle Bc c'è sempre la MMT.. ma prima di usarla credo che ci vorrà qualcosina di più della price action di maggio.

At the same time (or close enough) VP Pence cancelled a speaking engagement and was called back to the White House.

Are they related?

Gold is up $20 and trading at highs.
US yields are already down, and not getting worse (10 year 1.9843% with low of 1.9808%)
The US stocks have moved lower but off lows.
