Relatively quiet week for most asset classes, with equity indices continuing in their respective trends. Sterling paused its bullish trend vs USD (not shown) while gold continues its correction after hitting 1360.

EQUITIES

EUROSTOXX 50

The Eurostoxx index has been moving in a very narrow range last week, just below the upper boundary of its key resistance area around 3500 The weekly oscillator continues to be very supportive so once again given the positive backdrop in the USA and the end of the negative seasonal period we should expect this area to give way relatively soon. A weekly close above it would confirm the move and point to a retest of previous high at 3640. On the downside 3350 remains a key support to monitor in case of unexpected weakness.

S&P500

A very quiet week for the US benchmark.
After breaking its resistance at 2480 the index continues to consolidate above this level.
The S&P has been the first index where we have had a confirmed break on the upside, making it the clear leader at this point in the cycle. As always, previous resistance becomes support and 2480 is now the new short term level that we need to monitor for a change of trend.

NASDAQ100

The Nasdaq seems to have lost its leading status during the summer.
The tech index is still moving within its 2 months long channel that has characterised the last quarter.
A weekly close above 6000 would signal a new leg up which given the end of the negative seasonal period and the bullish setup of the weekly oscillator seems very probable.

NIKKEI

The Nikkei is the only index were we have seen a clear move on the upside last week, with prices gapping up this morning above its short term resistance.
Given the current weakness in the JPY and the long term supportive picture, I continue to believe that the Japanese market should offer positive returns in the last part of the year.

COMMODITIES

GOLD

After moving above its medium term resistance at 1300, gold rallied strongly to touch 1360.
During the last 2 weeks we have seen a correction in the precious metal, with price partially correcting its previous advance and currently retesting its breakout level.
The area between 1280 and 1300 is important on a short term basis since a failure to hold would definitely put a question mark on gold performance, at least in the short to medium term (weeks). A move below this area means that the next key level becomes 1200 and would of course not be supportive to my expectation of higher prices in gold stocks.

GDX

Gold stocks rallied strongly in August to retest the February high. The weakness in gold has had a negative effect on this equity index but GDX so far has retested the upper boundary of the triangle that launched the rally without moving below that.
If we see that gold is not able to hold the levels discussed above, it is highly probable that GDX would move down to 22 and potentially 21 which is the lower key support level.

ti riassumo mio management
1 close- 180 bps
dimezzando posizione...serviva a rendere il trade non disastroso contro 120 di stop.
2 close 182 bps-ridimezzando posizione ...contro 60 di eventuali
3 close 95 bps scalando da tre a due ...avevo in tasca 454 di gain contro 40 di stop eventuale
4 close 127 scalando a 1 ho in tasca 584 bps di gain contro 20 di stop
se va a 1,1730 son altri 255 contro 20 di stop.
alla fine della fiera su quello su cui rischio piu' di tutti è l'ultimo ..buttare 130 ticks per farne altri 120 di gains...
ma questo ci sta' il trade ha garantito un risultato piu' che ottimale fin ora e gestito secondo planning.

Infatti non ho niente da rispetto allo scaling out dei primi 11 lotti. Il punto è che comunque l'ulltimo lotto anche se di suo è solo 1/12 del size trade iniziale, porta su di sè una certa % di profitto non da poco sul totale già realizzato che non ha senso sprecare, trasformando addirittura un open profit + potential profit in una perdita anche se di soli 20 tick. E' solo un'umile riflessione, eh! Complimenti!

bravo unplugged,veramente sopratutto per la gestione della mega size,io ovviamente dopo aver shortato tre volte sui top nelle ultime sett cercando 200-300 pips di discesa(ogni volta stoppato in profit con circa +80+100 pips,non che mi lamenti ci mancherebbe) ho mancato la volta buona che mi avrebbe dato sti maledetti 300 pt..quindi ora su eur/usd sto fermo perche ho gia la carogna e poi combino disastri :-)

Commenti: 4881 Utente 01 ago : 16:21 Replica a questo	cmq sembra che veramente il mkt riparta dopo aver fatto chiudere a apple il gap a 150,la mia era solo una frecciatina quasi scherzosa e invece...il che potrebbe spiegare anche la sottopermance del nq negli ultimi gg,dovuta anche ad altri titoli tech ovvio ma apple pesa molto sull indice..
